Using  miPortal

• Download and install the midlet on your phone.
   

• Click on the midlet  icon to launch the midlet

• If its the first time you are using the client ,you will be prompted for your handle & password .Enter the handle and password you supplied while registering on this website.

• Make sure you can connect to the internet with your phone .

• Once you enter handle and password the client attempts to authenticate with the miPortal server.

• After successful authentication, you can install new services & begin to use it.

• miPortal attempts to retrieve a bunch of information from the server on startup such as new services added, any responses to requests you had made earlier etc .
  
   

Installing a new service

• Select the "Install new service " menu option from  your midlet main screen.

• A list of available web services is shown from which you can select the ones you wish to install. Once you install a service it shows up in "MyServices"  menu .From there you can invoke one or more queries of the miPortal service.

Using an installed miPortal service 

Once you installed a miPortal service ,it shows up in MyServices menu.

• Click on the service and then choose one of the operations

• You can view the menu to see documentation for the service or operation  .

• Enter the inputs needed for the operation and press submit.

• The client connects to the server and you can either wait for the results or click on the hide button on the connection progress bar screen to see the results later.

Editing your profile.

   Choose Edit profile on the menu and enter your handle and password

 On the main menu there is an option Info which shows miscellaneous information such as new services that may have been installed or a random quote or some news.
